Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting Plans/Drawings: Accurately read and follow detailed specifications and blueprints.
- Product Manufacturing: Produce high-quality items based on client specifications and drawings, adhering to deadlines.
- Material Handling: Work effectively with diverse materials, including steel and aluminum.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with our skilled team of welders and factory staff.
- Proficient with Welding Equipment: Skilled in using various welding equipment and techniques, including TIG and MMA.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Expert in reading blueprints, taking precise measurements, and planning welding procedures.
- Selecting Welding Methods: Determine and apply the right welding equipment or technique based on project needs.
- Component Setup: Set up and prepare components for welding to meet detailed specifications.
- Diverse Welding Techniques: Use plasma, gas, or electric arc methods for welding different materials.
- Metal Heating: Heat and melt metal parts to create the necessary material for welding or extrusion.
- Angle Grinder Operation: Utilise angle grinders to prepare parts effectively before welding.
- Component Alignment: Align and secure components accurately using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
- Versatile Welding Positions: Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead) using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience Required: At least 2 years in boiler making with aluminum and tubular steel, preferably in construction.
- Precision and Interpretation: Demonstrated skills in measurement and drawing interpretation, especially with rakes and angles.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous organisational skills and pride in workmanship.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and effective problem resolution.
- Positive Attitude: A proactive "Can Do" mindset.
- Specialised Knowledge: Experience with louvres, slats, balustrading, and specialty works is advantageous.
- Certification: White Card and Current Driver's License required.
