Our client is a leading name in the packaging and manufacturing industry, known for innovation, sustainability, and high-quality production. Their Smithfield site operates advanced equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment focused on safety, performance, and continuous improvement.

They are seeking a trade-qualified Electrician to support electrical maintenance and operations at this busy manufacturing site. Industrial experience is preferred, but we welcome domestic electricians who show strong technical ability and a genuine desire to learn and grow.

✔️ 24/7 Roster

✔️ Annual Salary: $130,234 - increasing to $133,490 in August

✔️ Weekly Earnings: $2,504 - rising to $2,564 in August

✔️ Hourly Rate (based on 42 hours/week): $59.63 - going up to $61.12

✔️ Overtime Rate: $86.56/hr - increasing to $88.72/hr from 1 August

✔️ Annual Leave: 5 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and production lines
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults involving PLCs (Allen Bradley) and variable speed drives (VSDs)
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety, quality, and industry standards

Key Requirements:

  • NSW Electrical License with completed electrical apprenticeship (essential)
  • Experience in industrial environments OR strong aptitude from domestic background
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSD systems highly desirable

Essential Criteria:

  • Completion of a full Australian electrical apprenticeship (not just Cert III via recognition)
  • Practical, hands-on training and real-world experience in electrical systems
  • Proactive approach, strong fault-finding skills, and safety-first mindset
