Our client, a leader in the innovation, manufacturing, and distribution of long steel products in Australia, stands out as the country's sole fully vertically integrated steel producer, utilizing scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution.

They are currently seeking experienced forklift drivers with high reach and counterbalance skills to support their operational needs. Day shifts are on offer 7:30am to 4pm with a 4-hour Saturday shift to be completed every 4 weeks.

Key responsibilities:

• General yard maintenance using the excavator
• Engaging in general yard maintenance tasks
• Operating a rotating tyne forklift
• Adhering strictly to safety protocols
• Willingness to engage in competency-based training
• Yard and warehouse maintenance and cleaning

Essential Criteria

• Forklift license essential
• Excavator experience highly regarded - operating excavator with grab attachment loading and moving scrap steel
• Must have a keen aptitude for yard work specifically working with scrap metals.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting where required
• A good level of physical fitness 
• Comfortable with manual handling - able to lift 20kg-25kg consistently 
• Have a hardworking, self-motivated attitude 
• Able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol 
• Available Monday to Friday
