Our client is a recognised leader in the packaging and manufacturing industry, known for innovation, sustainability, and exceptional product quality. Their Smithfield site features advanced equipment in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment focused on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

They are seeking a trade-qualified Electrician to support electrical maintenance and operations within this busy manufacturing facility. Industrial experience is preferred, but motivated domestic electricians with strong technical ability and a genuine desire to develop in a manufacturing setting are encouraged to apply.

Roster Details

This position operates on a 5.5-day rotating roster, structured as follows:

  • 2 day shifts, followed by 3 night shifts, then 4 days off

  • 3 day shifts, followed by 1 day off, then 3 night shifts, and 5 days off

Remuneration

  • Annual Salary: $120,933

  • Average Hourly Rate: $52.86 per hour

  • Overtime Rate: $88.72 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and production lines

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults involving PLCs (Allen Bradley) and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)

  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety, quality, and industry standards

Key Requirements

  • NSW Electrical Licence with completed Australian electrical apprenticeship (essential)

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems

  • Industrial background preferred, or strong aptitude developed from a domestic environment

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSD systems required

Essential Criteria

  • Completion of a full Australian electrical apprenticeship (not just Cert III via recognition)

  • Proven fault-finding ability, proactive approach, and a safety-first mindset
