They are currently seeking an experienced Fitter Operator with strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience in high-speed production environments. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to maintenance, demonstrate reliability with shift work, and show a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. A relevant trade qualification and solid industrial experience are essential.

MUST HAVE AUSTRALIAN TRADE QUALIFICATIONS AND LOCAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE.

Pay Rate: $120,933
Shifts: 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am
Roster: 5.5-day rotating roster as follows:

  • 2 x day shifts

  • 3 x night shifts

  • 4 days off

  • 3 x day shifts

  • 1 day off

  • 3 x night shifts

  • 5 days off
    Average Hourly Rate: $52.86 per hour
    OT Pay: Overtime paid for hours worked beyond scheduled shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain high-speed, automated FMCG machinery.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

  • Conduct equipment overhauls and manage spare parts inventory.

  • Accurately record maintenance activities and production data.

  • Uphold strict safety, health, and environmental standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (Plant Mechanic or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in high-speed manufacturing or FMCG production

  • Demonstrated ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
