Role: Mechanical Fitter (with Steel Fabrication and Welding Expertise)

Location: Chipping Norton Hub (service areas from Lisarow to Wollongong)

This exciting role offers you the opportunity to use your skills to maintain and repair cutting-edge steel recycling equipment, while working across multiple sites with a company-provided ute/truck for easy commuting.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-On Maintenance & Repair: Work on steel recycling equipment and mobile plants (balers, steel shears, forklifts, loaders).
• Innovative Modifications & Fabrications: Tackle special projects, including equipment modifications, fabrications, and handling shutdowns when required.
• Safety and Teamwork: Embrace strict safety standards while contributing to a collaborative team environment that prioritizes attention to detail.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Holds a trade qualification in Mechanical/Hydraulic fitting.
• Has proven experience in troubleshooting, fault identification, and problem-solving.
• Brings welding and fabrication skills to the table (preferred but not mandatory).
• Has a background in waste management or heavy equipment maintenance (a bonus!).
• Exhibits a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous learning.
• Holds a valid driver's license and is ready to hit the road between sites.
