Drake Trades and Technical is on the lookout for a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our client's top-tier team at a premier FMCG manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Maintenance: Keep production equipment and facility infrastructure running smoothly with routine and emergency maintenance to avoid power failures or breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and swiftly repair electrical issues in industrial equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Follow scheduled maintenance plans to boost equipment reliability and lifespan. Regularly inspect and service electrical systems.
  • Installation and Upgrades: Install new systems and enhance existing ones to improve efficiency and safety. Work includes wiring, setting up control systems, and integrating new machinery.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to the highest safety standards and electrical codes. Perform risk assessments and safety checks.
  • Documentation: Keep precise records of all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain facility electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems to ensure operational safety.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Leader to resolve issues effectively, ensuring maximum plant uptime.

Shift Pattern and Working Conditions:

  • 12-Hour Shifts: Enjoy a 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off pattern (6 AM-6 PM & 6 PM-6 AM).
  • 7-Day Rotating Roster: Offers ample overtime opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

Mandatory:

  • Proven experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • AUS recognised Trade qualifications and an A-grade electrical license.
  • Strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • High level of computer literacy.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in FMCG industry & Fixed plant maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ISO, HACCP, GMP systems.
  • Additional licenses: Forklift, First Aid, EWP, Confined Space, High Voltage.
  • Expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
