Our client is a leading innovator in manufacturing and distributing long steel products. They are Australia's only fully vertically integrated steel manufacturing utilising scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution. They provide metal recycling solutions to a broad range of scrap metal generators such as householders, local government, mining, demolition, industrials, automotive recyclers, waste companies.

Their Lisarow site which specialises in aluminium and copper metals recycling are seeking experienced forklift drivers with high reach experience to assist with yard work.

• Position: Forklift Driver/Yard Loader (with Excavator experience)
• Shift: Day shifts from 7am to 3:30pm, with overtime available
• Location: Lisarow site, specialising in aluminium and copper metals recycling

Key responsibilities:

• Sort and manage recycling bins onsite
• Perform general yard work as required
• Operate high-reach forklifts efficiently
• Pack recycled products for distribution
• Follow all safety procedures during forklift operation
• Engage in repetitive manual tasks, including heavy lifting and sorting raw materials
• Participate in competency-based training and development
• Maintain and clean the recycling yard

Essential Criteria

• Forklift License/Certificate is a must
• Excavator operation experience highly regarded
• Ability to handle physical, repetitive work, including heavy lifting
• A proactive can-do mindset and willingness to learn
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and detail
• A good level of physical fitness 
• Comfortable with manual handling - able to lift 20kg-25kg consistently 
• Have a hardworking, self-motivated attitude 
• Able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol 
• Available Monday to Friday
• General warehouse duties
