Our client is a leading innovator in manufacturing and distributing long steel products. They are Australia's only fully vertically integrated steel manufacturing utilising scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution. They provide metal recycling solutions to a broad range of scrap metal generators such as householders, local government, mining, demolition, industrials, automotive recyclers, waste companies.

They are looking for someone with strong accounts payable and administration skills to ensure timely payments to scrap suppliers via EFT, manage customer reports, update the CRM system, and handle general administration tasks such as filing, stock takes, and supporting Accounts Payable. Provide reception duties, including customer interaction and answering inquiries.

The role:

Working a part of a supportive and collaborative team that has a high regard for safety, you will be working in an accounts administration role to complete the below tasks day to day:

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring payments to all scrap suppliers are executed via EFT model
  • Gathering accurate bank details of scrap suppliers to enable timely payments
  • Reception duties including interacting with customers, answering general enquiries and a backup for Accounts Payable
  • Manage Customer Reports
  • Updating the CRM system
  • General Administration tasks including but not limited to, filing, updating pricing catalogues, ordering items for site, and completing stock takes

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in administration duties is ideal
  • Accounts payable experience is essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Administration experience supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Ideally experience in SAP (S4)
  • A self-starter who thrives in a busy environment
