YOUR ROLE

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the manufacturing facility. The primary responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing plant equipment to maximize production efficiency while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards. This dynamic role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with the maintenance team to achieve key performance targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring electrical installations and equipment are in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations (also known as the Australian/NSW Wiring Rules)
  • Promotes a Preventative maintenance culture by completing tasks assigned on a basis of priority
  • Ensure the electrical maintenance store is managed effectively
  • Provide immediate response to all breakdowns while focusing on the reduction of downtime
  • Support the training and development of apprentices
  • Responsible for service production and resolving operational or technical equipment problems
  • Identify and rectify any safety risk or concerns.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATES:

The ideal candidate is a skilled and safety-conscious professional with extensive experience in electrical maintenance within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This individual is passionate about continuous improvement, proactive problem-solving, and maintaining peak equipment performance to meet production targets.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Trade qualification in Electrical fitting
  • Knowledge and experience in safety procedures
  • Able to read electrical schematics/drawings
  • Electrical License
  • PLC experience
  • VSD experience
  • Automation
  • EWP License
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Analytical, Process and Continuous Improvement focused (Lean)
  • Working at heights (EWP license)
  • Confined space training
