We're seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician to join the team on Night Shift, supporting plant operations through effective maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be an integral part of ensuring the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

Our client has recently commissioned a brand new, $150 million corrugated box manufacturing facility located in Hemmant. Built to service the booming agricultural, primary industry, and FMCG markets across Queensland, this facility features advanced automation and cutting-edge equipment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and prioritising preventative maintenance activities.

  • Installing electrical systems including wire and conduit for conveyors, control systems, and high-speed production machinery.

  • Replacing and repairing electrical components such as motors, relays, switches, sensors, scanners, and other automated components.

  • Diagnosing and resolving faults in electronic components including printed circuit boards.

  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvements across the plant.

What we're looking for:

  • A current Electrical Licence and solid experience in electrical applications within a manufacturing environment.

  • A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn about PLCs and automation systems.

  • Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments with a strong commitment to safety standards.

  • Great communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.

  • A motivated, self-starting approach to work with a strong focus on reliability and results.

Shift Details:

  • Night Shift: 8:00pm - 6:00am

  • Flexibility to extend hours as needed to support team coverage for annual or sick leave.

  • Hourly pay rate: $65.00 plus overtime, plus Superannuation
