Our client based in Albury, specialises in the distribution of steel across regional areas is seeking an experienced store person with a Heavy Rigid licence. This is a great opportunity to for individuals who enjoy a variety within their day to day role within a company who recognises your hard work and commitment to the role.

The Role:

Your main role will be dealing with all aspects of steel distribution and warehousing. You will be required to assist with the general warehouse duties for the day-to-day operation of the site as well as perform local deliveries.​ Excellent customer service is required.

Duties include:

• Dealing with all aspects of Steel Distribution and Warehousing
• Pick/packing and Loading/unloading of steel
• Delivery duties as required
• Cutting and processing of materials
• Customer service
• Operating machinery where required
• General Labouring and cleaning of the warehouse
• Operating forklifts as required
• Receipting of goods

Essential Criteria:

• Current Heavy Rigid drivers licence
• Forklift license is essential or willing to obtain
• General labouring and machine operating experience ideal
• Physically fit
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Switched on attitude and a quick learner
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Committed and a loyal team member
• Competent and experienced with load restraints
• Must be able to complete day sheets and delivery dockets
• Good driving record
• High attention to Work, Health and Safety

Strong customer service skills are necessary, as this is a customer-facing position. Additionally, the candidate must pass a drug and alcohol test and have a clean driver history check. This is a permanent full time position. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, 1 hour lunch break and with occasional overtime.
