Our client is a leading innovator in manufacturing and distributing long steel products. They are Australia's only fully vertically integrated steel manufacturing utilising scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution. They are seeking experienced forklift drivers with high reach and counterbalance experience to assist with their operational requirements.

• 7:30am to 4pm with overtime available.   

Key responsibilities: 

• Driving Hiab Truck/Morrelle Truck/Prime movers when needed to local areas within the hunter region

• Excavator operation.

• Loading trucks with a grab claw attachment.

• General yard maintenance using the excavator.

• Operating rotating tyne forklift.

• Forklift and Excavator operation where required.

• Ensuring to follow safety procedures.

• Willingness to participate with competency-based training requirements.

• Maintenance and cleaning of the yard and warehouse.

Essential Criteria 

• Forklift license essential

• Excavator experience in a scrap metals recycling yard

• Excavator experience highly regarded - operating excavator with grab attachment loading and moving scrap steel

• Must have a keen aptitude for yard work specifically working with scrap metals.

• Must have a can-do mindset and be open to continued learning

• Problem solving and troubleshooting where required

• A good level of physical fitness

• Comfortable with manual handling - able to lift 20kg-25kg consistently

• Have a hardworking, self-motivated attitude

• Able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol

• Available Monday to Friday

• General warehouse duties
