About the role

We're currently seeking experienced casual Disability Support Workers to work with our 22-year-old female client who has a Traumatic Brain Injury. Our client requires comprehensive support with all aspects of daily living. Behavioural support is also needed.

The role involves a 2:1 staffing ratio and includes:

• 2 x morning shifts
• 2 x afternoon shifts
• 1 x active night duty shifts
• 7 days a week

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A supportive and patient demeanor
• Understanding of traumatic brain injuries and their effects
• Ability to provide high-quality care and assistance
• Can follow a clients specific care plan & routines

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• Behavioural support
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Rehabilitation exercises

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience including behavioural support (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
