About the role

Join Our Casual Disability Support Pool!

Located across Brisbane & Gold coast, we're seeking experienced Disability Support Staff for a unique opportunity to work with multiple clients across Brisbane & Gold Coast. As part of our casual pool, you'll have the chance to support a variety of clients with diverse needs, including those with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), spinal injuries, ventilated clients and behavioural support. We would like to place you in a variety of roles offering some set rostered shifts with different clients to give you a chance to get to know their needs. We would then call on you to fill shifts on an emergency basis when we can not fill a shift. Picking up the emergency shifts could also come with extra incentives. Shifts could be AM, PM, active ND and sleepover shifts.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• Behavioural support & reporting
• PEG feeding
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Rehabilitation exercises

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• PEG management
• Personal care experience
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
• Working with Children Check
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• PEG competency certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Behavioural experience

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
