THE ROLE

Our client is a reputable Australian law firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to both government and private sector organisations.

They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-focused Finance Administration Assistant to join their dynamic team and provide high-quality financial and administrative support.

DUTIES

• Assist with the processing and entry of EFT payments across general and trust accounts.
• Support the maintenance of the firm's creditor records and payment runs.
• Assist with the retrieval of items from safe custody in the absence of the Debt Recovery & Safe Custody Assistant.
• Issue receipts for both general and trust accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide backup support to other members of the accounts team during periods of absence or peak workload.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and case management software.
• Strong reading and numeracy skills with good understanding of workplace policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of or experience in legal accounting, with ability to learn relevant regulations, systems, and compliance requirements.
