About the role

Located in Maudsland, this role involves supporting a non-verbal gentleman in his early 50s who has an Acquired Brain Injury. The client requires full assistance with all his ADLs, including PEG feeding and 2:1 assistance with transfers using a Sara Stedy. We are looking for experienced support workers who can work a mix of AM, PM and sleepover shifts. Due to the nature and complexity of this clients' needs, candidates must have relevant disability experience.  An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition. Must love dogs.



Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• ADL's
• PEG feeding
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• PEG Feeding
• Domestic assistance

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• PEG management (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Dual Covid-19 vaccinations
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• PEG competency certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
