About the organisation.

Our client is dedicated to life-changing work, collecting approximately 1.5 million blood donations annually. These donations primarily support individuals with medical conditions requiring regular blood or blood products.

About the role

This role is part of the Order Fulfillment Team, following well-defined and standardized procedures. You'll work within a structured team environment, adhering to a varied roster schedule. The work is manual in nature and requires handling of blood and blood products in a regulated room temperature environment, with entries into cold and freezer rooms to pick and select products.

Please note: This is a 24/7 department with a rotating roster. The shift times are as follows:

  • Morning shift - 7am to 3pm
  • Afternoon shift - 3pm to 11pm
  • Night shift - 11pm to 7am

Your key responsibilities.

Our team is looking for a dedicated who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Execute standardized work processes within the Order Fulfillment team according to established procedures.
  • Achieve and maintain approved competence through training.
  • Escalate any issues that cause deviations from the work schedule or standard procedures.
  • Contribute to achieving DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) and customer service objectives by delivering planned standard work.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives through the suggestion scheme, Lean, and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) processes.
  • Maintain positive working relationships through open, professional communication with staff and colleagues.
  • Assist with standard equipment setup and maintenance under supervision.
  • Engage in internal and external quality assurance processes appropriate to the function and level of approved competence.
  • Uphold a high level of commitment to quality systems, quality control measures, and their application.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety by following policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and escalate appropriately.
  • Ensure all actions comply with relevant policies and procedures to mitigate risks, reporting potential risks immediately to management and using the appropriate reporting forms.


About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Following decisions that are made according to procedures and completing operational checks
  • Operational knowledge and experience in warehouse and distribution processes and principles
  • Relevant industry experience in supply chain, warehouse, or distribution environments
  • Ability to perform routine tasks and adhere to standard operating procedures
