About the role

We are currently seeking experienced & supportive carers to work with our young male client who has has Beare-Stevenson Syndrome as well as other associated disabilities. Our client has a Tracheostomy & requires mechanical ventilation of a night time while he sleeps. Looking for staff to cover day shifts as well as active night shifts. For the active night shift, you will be required to monitor the ventilator, Sp02, suctioning & manage nutrition via PEG. During the day you will be required to be with the client during the day & go on outings. This role involves both personal & emotional support so if you have a positive mind set, are intuitive & client focused, this role is for you. Seeking staff for a mix of day & active night shifts 7 days per wek. You also need to be happy to use your car to drive client to events & to access the community.



Your key responsibilities

  • Driving


About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Manual handling experience (essential)
  • Personal care experience
  • Dual Covid-19 vaccinations
  • Current First aid and CPR
  • Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
  • Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • PEG competency certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
