Our client has been in operation in Australian market for the last 20 years and is one Australia's top 10 and fastest growing supermarket retailers in the country that pride themselves on being good, different.

They are looking for hard-working casuals with a forklift licence to assist forklift and bulking pallet duties and of grocery and special buy items in our client's Goods in team, based at their Cold Storage site in Prestons.

We are currently looking for casuals to be available across shifts for 11am starts (6-7hour shifts) to work a 4 to 5 day roster across Monday to Sunday - these will be the same 4 to 5 days you work each week. Shifts for other days can be offered to cover other casual staff leave.

• 1x 11am shift - Monday, Thursday, Friday - 11am starts, Saturday and Sunday - 8am starts
• 1x 5am shift - Monday to Friday

You must be comfortable in a chiller environment for this position - chiller environment is 2 degrees, Freezer is -18 degrees so you must be comfortable with a constant cold environment.

The Role:
As part of the Goods in team, you will be working to assist with forklift and bulking duties to move completed pallets of stock to putaway/staging areas. You may be required to assist with other tasks onsite, which may include:

• Forklift Duties - high reach experience essential (double deep experience ideal)
• Operating of bulkers to move pallets to staging/putaway areas
• Wrapping pallets for storage
• Loading and prepping of wrapped pallets within the warehouse with products ready for transport to stores
• General warehouse duties

Essential Criteria

• Previous forklift experience operating high reach forklifts
• Previous double deep forklift experience highly regarded
• Physically fit and able to lift 20-25kg consistently MUST be comfortable in a Chiller/Freezer environment
• Sound reading and numerical skills

• Able to work quickly and think on your feet
• Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Previous cold storage experience would be an advantage
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment - Chiller is 2 degrees, Freezer is -18 degrees
• Own transport reliable transport, particularly for early morning shift times - closest public transport access is a 20-minute walk from Hoxton Park Road or Miller T-Way Bus stops.
