Our client specialises in wet and dry plant hire, equipment, and professional services for rail operators, tier one construction projects, civil works, and mining companies.

The Role:

As an Operations Scheduler, you'll be at the heart of ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Your primary focus will be delivering accurate and optimised rosters that align with client requirements while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role is perfect for someone with rostering and scheduling experience, ideally in logistics, construction, or civil plant hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule personnel, trucks, plant, and equipment using Assignar and Pronto.
  • Liaise with clients to manage bookings, feedback, and emergency requests.
  • Revise schedules based on availability, interruptions, or to enhance optimisation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, client requirements, licencing obligations, rail training and fatigue management.
  • Collaborate with Workshop, Yard, and Plant teams to maximise resource availability.
  • Communicate schedules and work requirements to operators and drivers.
  • Maintain certification and compliance records for operators and assets.
  • Be available for after hours on call duties as rostered.

Who We're Looking For:

A proactive, detail oriented professional with experience in rostering or scheduling within a busy environment. You'll enjoy solving problems, thrive under pressure, and can balance competing priorities with ease.

  • Previous experience in logistics, construction, or civil plant hire (desired but not essential).
  • Knowledge of rail industry regulations and RIW software (a must).
  • Exceptional communication, planning, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Word, Excel, and scheduling systems/asset management software.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in high pressure situations.
  • A positive, can do attitude with a team focused mindset.
