About the Role

  • Temporary short term contract till December 2023
  • Full time 14/7 swing - 11 hour days
  • Based in Woomera, SA
  • Hourly rate- $25.15 - $37.87
  • Looking for a superstar that has hotel Admin /Reception background and / or property management.

Position Purpose

This position exists to ensure the delivery of great customer service to Australian Defence personnel and their families based at Woomera, thereby supporting their mission in the defence of Australia. The Receptionist provides great service to customers arranging to stay at the ELDO hotel, on arrival, and throughout the duration of their stay.

Key Accountabilities

Answer Phones

Take all incoming calls at the hotel, administer phone reservations, confirm previously made reservations, provide advice to potential guests and answer any questions customers have about the accommodation.

-Provide after-hours support by monitoring the on-call telephone.

Reservation Management

Apply Reservation Management System in a timely and accurate manner to ensure accuracy of all reservations.

Check-in Guests

Greet incoming guests and welcome them to the hotel.

Confirm reservations, explain hotel amenities, give directions to rooms, and produce room keys.

Handle Guest Inquiries and Complaints

Process a range of service requests from providing additional linens to handling complaints about noise or room temperature, ensure timely response to guests.

Contact necessary personnel, such as managers or maintenance personnel to handle specific requests or complaints.

Process Payments

When a guest's stay is over, administer the check-out process, issue payments such as additional room charges, process debit or credit cards and/or handle accounts to pay for room fees.

Communication with Hotel Services

Communicate with Cleaning Services and verify availability of rooms prior to guests arriving in their room.

Communicate with Hotel Maintenance personnel to ensure functionality of all services provided within rooms.

Liaise with external maintenance providers to enable maintenance to occur.

Other

Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Accommodation and Housekeeping Manager, consistent within the skill and competence level of the employee.

Skills and Experience

· Reservation Management System

· Customer Service.

· MS-Office.

· 2+ years' experience in administration roles, preferably within a hotel/motel environment.

· Attention to detail.
