AMRKET WAGE: $43.44ph + SUPER + 15% Shift Loading

YOUR ROLE

As a Precision Fitter/Tool Maker in the Spindle Room or Machine Build team, you'll be a key player in assembling new machines, sub-assemblies, and spindles for CNC machines. Dive into meticulous machine build and bench work, showcasing your expertise in precision measuring, assembly, and interpreting engineering drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute machine build and bench work to assemble complete machines and spindles for CNC machines.
  • Ensure precision measuring and assembly according to engineering drawings.
  • Promptly intervene and troubleshoot issues that arise
  • Contribute to project plan and KPI and continuous improvement activities.
  • Repair and replace defective components with precision.

COMPETENCIES

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter, Toolmaker, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and fixed plant machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Manual skills for maintenance operations and use of hand tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with root cause analysis ability.
  • Experience in precision assembly and measuring to micron tolerances.
  • Collaboration with Machine Shop staff and Management.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and basic electrical systems.
