About the role

Located in Shailer Park, this role involves supporting a female in her mid-30s who has Cerebral Palsy. Our client lives in an SDA property and requires full assistance with all ADL's. Our client utilises a head controlled powerchair and is transferred using a ceiling hoist at all times. Due to the nature and complexity of the client's needs, candidates must have relevant disability experience.

We are looking for staff who can work Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am - 2pm, and every second Sunday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. 


Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Personal cares
• Manual handling (1:1)
• Communication support
• Nutritional Support
• Transportation (using client's vehicle)
• Community engagement
• Domestic assistance
• Companionship

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
