Our client is a boutique AWS-centric, cloud-based services provider offering hosting for Windows and Linux workloads and web hosting to small and medium businesses. They are an Advanced AWS Consulting Partner and a leader of the AWS Well-Architected Program. The focus for 2023 is to further develop and take to market their Secure Modern Workplace and their ISV Accelerator solutions that are both listed on the AWS Marketplace.

THE ROLE

Our client is looking for a talented mid-level cloud engineer that is looking for their break into a more senior position. The successful candidate will be exposed to modern techniques that only come with native cloud solutions. This role will have two main concepts, the first being project engineer and the second being escalation point for the helpdesk.

WITHIN THE ROLE SOME DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

• AWS deployment and administration.
• Server administration (Windows and Linux).
• Office 365 administration and migration.
• Networking, firewall administration (minimal work but knowledge essential).
• Technical escalation for helpdesk team.
• Understand project requirements and produce production change schedule.
• Implement changes to environments as per production change schedule.
• Interact with clients to work towards project deliverables.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• AWS experience essential.
• A good understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• 2-5 years working in an MSP style environment.
• Good understanding of fundamentals, DNS, subnetting etc.
• Ability and desire to assist on project work.
• Office 365 experience a must.
• Will be required to study for AWS certifications, Solution Architect track.
• Being comfortable working independently within a team environment.
