About the role

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Located in Wynnum West, you will be part of a 24/7 care team to support a gentleman in his 50's with a acquired brain injury. You will provide full assistance with all ADL's as well as clinical support of the Tracheostomy. Due to the nature and complexity of the client's needs, you will need to have relevant disability experience. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.



Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• Tracheostomy managment
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• NDIS Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
