About the role:
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to share with you. We are seeking for Kitchen Hands & Food Safety Assistants located through out Footscray and surrounding suburbs.

We are looking for Kitchen Hands & Food Safety Assistant that will provide high-quality care and assistance to residents in residential care for the shifts from 10:00AM-6:00PM everyday.

The shifts will be on an adhoc ongoing basis and may be short notice shifts the day of or day before. Shifts are a first in first serve basis, we are expecting a huge increase in shifts over the upcoming weeks, so we have multiple positions available.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Hands & Food Safety Assistant who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation
• Manual Handling
• Maintining clealiness and hygiene standards
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage
• Following food safety guidelines
• Supporting the cook and kitchen
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipments

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous Aged care experience, in a kitchen and hospitality setting
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to ork in a fast paced environment
• A caring and respectful attitude towards elderly residents
• Ability and reliability to work flexible shifts including weekends
• Current accredited First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card or National Police Check
• Right to live and work within Australia
• Valid Australian Driver's License

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature.
