About our client

Our client is a local South Australian family-owned business employing over 500 local people throughout their network of 12 local and regional branches, who warehouse and distribute parts for heavy machinery and mining equipment and have an ongoing demand for experienced Forklift Operators and pick pickers, in their Distribution Centre at Gepps Cross.

About the role

Candidates that demonstrate reliability, competency and safety in all duties, this role has the potential to become long term assignments.

Duties

• Picking and packing small light parts for heavy machinery and mining equipment that may include engine parts, batteries, tools, filters etc.
• Putting together parts packs for customer orders
• Operating a LF Forklift
• May be required to use a computer system.

Skills & experience

• LF Forklift
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Able to undertake repetitive work.
• Able to stand for long periods and undertake manual handling tasks.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and experience in a similar fast paced warehouse environment
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Computer literate

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Hold a current LF Forklift Licence
• Hold a current Drivers' Licence and have reliable transport.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Physically fit and healthy
