Drake Trades and Technical is on the lookout for a skilled Machinist to join our clients dedicated team in Albury NSW in a permanent night shift position.

You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machines, including lathes, milling machines, and vertical borers. This role is crucial for producing precision metal components per technical drawings and specifications. While experienced machinists are preferred, we also welcome those with mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate various machines including manual lathes, peelers, and mills.
• Program CNC machinery and adhere to precise job card requirements.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational status, reporting any issues.
• Comply with all operational guidelines and company policies to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience in mechanical engineering or metal machining preferred.
• Relevant Trade Qualification, forklift, dogging, and CNC or NC operations.
• Must be able to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Certificate and pass a Preemployment Medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol screening.
