About the role.

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Located in Minto ,you will be part of a 24/7 care team to supporting male with an Accuired Brain Injury. You will provide full assistance personal cares, medication administration, meal preparation and feeding assistance, completion of transfers including, bed to commode and commode to wheelchair, with the use of a ceiling hoist and lifter, and many other duties. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.

Shift Hours Monday- Sunday 4pm-8pm

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker, who can undertake the following key responsibilities

  • Manual Handling
  • Experience in continence changing
  • Experience in Personal Care
  • Experience with Diabetics/Diabetes
  • Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Dysphagia Management
  • Feeding and Preparation of Feeds
  • Social Support and Engagement
  • Personal Care
  • Bowel Management and Support
  • Domestic Assistance

About you.

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or above (relevant care certificates may also be considered)
  • Experience with Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Specific Disability / Complex Care experience (minimum 2 years experience)
  • Manual handling certificate and experience (essential)
  • Current First aid and CPR
  • Yellow Card/NDIS Worker's Screening Check
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • English Fluency - verbal and written
