About the Role:
Drake Medox are seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working support workers for our client in Sunbury.
Our client, who is located in Sunbury with a complex spinal cord injury, requires additional support workers to join their team on a casual basis. Our ideal candidate would receive client specific training with stable consistent hours.
The right candidate will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Experience with providing personal care to clients with high needs - this includes bowel care and assistance with showering and PEG feeds
  • +6 month manual handling experience (using hoist machines)
  • Must have a fun, positive attiude
  • Be proactive and take initiative
  • Language proficiency in Macedonian is highly desirable
You must currently have;
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
  • Nationally accredited Medication Administration Certificate
  • Nationally accredited Manual Handling training
  • Certificate III in Disability or other relevant qualifications or experience is preferred
Duties;
  • Full assistance with personal care and manual handling
  • Meal preparation and feeds via PEG tube
  • Supporting the client in achieving their set goals for the day
  • Providing true and authentic companionship to the client
  • Participate in recreational activities and engage with community
  • Light household duties
