CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR

COMPANY

Our client is a local family-owned Civil Construction Company, specialising in all aspects of bulk and detailed earthworks, bridge construction, stormwater drainage and stabilisation with projects spanning throughout the Northern Territory.

YOUR ROLE

As a contract administrator, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of obtaining quotations and preparing subcontractor agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sound ability in obtaining quotations for projects from suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Preparation of subcontractor agreements.
  • Ability/knowledge on completing project monthly reports e.g., Indigenous Reporting, Project & Industry Participation.
  • Collating documentation for monthly progress claims.
  • Ordering of materials in consultation with the Project Manager
  • Attending Project Meetings.
  • Liaising with Project managers regarding the management of procurement.
  • Assisting with the administration of the contracts.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills.
  • Accomplished Negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience in a contracts administrator role in the civil industry.
  • Evaluation skills.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to spot errors and omissions at a glance.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of contract law.
  • The ability to learn quickly and master internal contracts management systems.
  • The ability to manage competing demands and work well under pressure.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Civil / Construction /Law Tertiary qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant project experience
  • Large project management experience
  • Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Outlook etc.)
