About the role.

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Located in Strathfield , you will be part of a 24/7 care team to supporting female with a Spinal Cord Injury. You will provide full assistance personal cares, medication administration, meal preparation and feeding assistance, completion of transfers including, bed to commode and commode to wheelchair, with the use of a ceiling hoist and lifter, and many other duties. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.

Your key responsibilities.

Our team is looking for dedicated and passionate Registered Nurses who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Spinal Cord Injury Management
  • Autonomic Dysreflexia Management
  • Tracheostomy Care and Suctioning
  • Bowel Care
  • SPC (suparpubic catheter)
  • Colostomy
  • Pressure Area Care
  • Resus Bagging
  • Knowledge and experience with Ventilators- able to demonstrate understanding of key risk factors and safety.

About you.

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Manual handling experience and certificate (essential)
  • Current First aid and CPR (Mandatory)
  • Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • Nurses, APHRA Registered with no restrictions.
  • We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
