We are currently seeking an Experienced Cleaner for our client, a well respected food and beverage manufacturer in Albury. This highly professional organisation has a culture where staff are valued.

Position Overview:

Through efficient cleaning you will be responsible in maintaining an exceptional level of cleanliness at our respected client and ensure that areas of the site including amenities, lunchrooms and warehouse areas are well maintained, clean and tidy, and aesthetically pleasing to all staff and visitors. Whilst meeting legislative requirements.

Position Objectives:

  • Assist and contribute to the delivery of safe and high-quality services, meeting company and customer expectations.
  • Lead by example and actively promote and participate in staff engagement.
  • Assist management to ensure employees, adhere with legislative compliance and company procedures and policies.
  • To ensure facilities are kept in a clean, and safe condition for all users.
  • To adhere to daily cleaning schedules, meeting customer expectations
  • Where required provide prompt and accurate reporting on Quality, WH&S, Environment, Industrial and operational matters.

General Responsibilities

  • Cleaning duties - facilities and operating sweeper
  • Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the facility or office building. This can entail dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning smudges off windows and doors.
  • Ensuring restrooms are cleaned, sanitised, and restocked is another important responsibility of a cleaner.
  • Fosters a work environment characterised by mutual respect
  • Carry out administration procedures such as documentation and implementation of policy, procedure and awareness programs as required
  • Collate and report on Quality, WH&S, Environment, Industrial and Operational matters, identifying and highlighting focal points and areas of concerns

Substantial manual handing is an inherent physical requirement of the role.

Applicants are expected to have the following requirements to be considered for this role:

Essential

  • Experience in commercial cleaning
  • Knowledge in Work Health & Safety compliance and legislation
  • Experience in using various cleaning equipment (commercial and industrial)
  • Knowledge in the safe use of chemicals and manual handling procedures
  • Excellent work ethics
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both within a team and unsupervised
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills especially the ability to delegate effectively
  • Good awareness of and a commitment to safe working practices
  • Ability to work early morning and weekend shifts
  • Certificate 3 Asset management (advantageous)
  • Current Drivers licence
