Are you a seasoned operations leader looking for an international challenge? We are partnering with a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business with a factory based in Malaysia, currently seeking a Factory Manager to oversee daily plant operations and lead cross-functional teams to operational excellence.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity ideally suited to a candidate with strong operational experience within a factory or manufacturing environment, particularly those familiar with plastics, polymers, or molding production. Candidates must be open to relocating to Malaysia.

About the Opportunity

As the Factory Manager, you will take ownership of all on-site operations across departments including production, HR, quality control, and maintenance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations of the factory including production, quality, maintenance, and administration

  • Lead and mentor department heads to drive performance and efficiency across teams

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and BRC/HACCP standards

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, safety, and quality

  • Manage factory budgets and cost-control measures

  • Monitor and enhance production planning and output while minimising downtime

  • Ensure strong cross-departmental communication and alignment on company objectives

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a factory management role within manufacturing

  • Proven ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience in plastics/polymer/molding manufacturing is highly regarded

  • Strong understanding of BRC, HACCP, and compliance frameworks

  • Demonstrated success in operations management, production scheduling, quality control, and budget oversight

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
