Our client is running an exhibition show in the heart of Canberra from the 28th of September to the 1st of October and require casuals to assist in a cleaning capacity as Event Cleaners and Bathroom Attendants.

Shifts will be rostered from either 5pm or 6pm starts with finishes around 11:30pm over the 4 day event - Ideally we are looking for casuals to be available across the 4 day event over the weekend.

The Role:

• Mopping and sweeping of bathroom areas
• Toilet cleaning and re-stocking of toiletry items
• Emptying rubbish bins and dealing with rubbish
• Sorting and moving waste into separate waste streams
• Cleaning high touch areas with disinfectant
• Maintaining and record keeping of cleaning logs
• Assisting patrons with general enquires
• Responding to cleaning requests in a timely manner
• Transporting waste up/down hills via bins with wheels
• Work independently and be responsible for their own zone
• Communicate with stall holders and event management
• Clear waste from patrons tables/wipe down/clean tables
• Clear waste from the ground/litter pick

Essential Criteria

• Previous cleaning or labour experience preferred
• Reasonable level of English and confident communicating with people
• Customer service ability, working with and around members of the public
• Good level of physical fitness required as you will be walking around the event
• Able to work autonomously and follow instructions
• High level of physical fitness and capable of lifting
• Fast moving to keep up with constant duties onsite
• Reliability and flexibility work across the 4 days of the event
• Reliable, punctual and presentable with correct uniform requirements met

This is a great opportunity for some one-off casual work for the week however to be considered ideally you need to be available for the full 4-day event.
