ABOUT THE ROLES

We are actively working with clients to attract and compile the best Procurement professionals for their requirements.

The primary role of this Procurement Specialist is to manage a diverse portfolio of spend categories across the organisation and to take full ownership of improving and working with stakeholders to achieve organisational goals, including, contribute to the broader day to day procurement activities across the business and continuous improvement.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consult with internal and external stakeholders to manage delivery of successful category management outcomes in accordance with good professional practices, legislative requirements and Policies and Procedures

• Work closely as a trusted partner with work areas to determine how to best optimise supply chain value that supports direct service delivery to customers.

• Execute strategic category plans to enable continuous improvement and added value in areas such as; Value for money, risk reduction.

• Coordinate and manage strategic procurement processes for services/works projects of a complex or special nature including the overall management of the procurement process for projects up to and including the awarding of contracts.

• Act as the procurement subject matter expert for assigned categories in accordance with procurement policy and procedure and all legislative requirements

• Experience with tenders and evaluations especially in local government highly regarded

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR LOCAL COUNCIL POSITIONS

• Undertake and maintain a current National Criminal Records Check
• Pre-employment health declaration
• Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check
• Degree or diploma qualification in the related field with several years experience, or Certificate IV in related field with extensive experience.
• CIPS Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or similar highly regarded

• You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered.
