About the role

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home care for our client living in the Unley area. We welcome students currently studying in relevant health-related degrees, such as nursing, disability and allied health streams.

• Must have an understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to individuals
• Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
• Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments

Duties:

• Tracheostomy and Ventilator Management
• Continual clinical assessment of client
• Catheter care
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
• Assisting alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
• Medication administration
• Bowel care management
• Manual handling
• Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community

About you:

• Australian Driver's License and reliable car
• NDIS Workers Screening Check and/or DCSI
• Current First Aid Certification
• Current CPR Certification
• Manual Handling Certification
• Assist with Medication Certification
• English Fluency - verbal and written
• Certificate III in Individual Support of equivalent advantageous
