Production Operator

About the Role

As a Processing Operator in our Protein Plant, you'll play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. This hands-on role involves equipment operation, product quality control, hygiene maintenance, and supporting overall site functionality.

Primary Duties

• running bagging equipment to fill bags (bulk bags and smaller bags)
• Quality and Food Safety record keeping
• Daily inspections and sampling (task to be taught to the successful candidates
• Being a food production role the successful candidate will need to have an appreciation of and willingness to monitor and record food production data, testing of flour samples, and record keeping of such data.
• They will also need to be able to take instruction and have the ability to focus on their section of the production line while undertaking tasks such as monitoring, record data, filling bags with bagging machine, and keeping up quality and presentation of end products for customers domestic and international
• The successful candidate will require a forklift ticket or be willing to successfully complete the assessment for forklift with the first 2 months of employment.
• If the candidate has currently or previously having had the ability to and/or be reinstated as an "Authorised Officer for Export of Plant Materials" with Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). Will be looked at favourably.
• Forklift operating

Required Skills

• Must have a forklift licence.
• Must have a valid drivers licence.
• Must be able to work in a dusty surrounding.
• Must be computer literate.
