ACCOUNT MANAGER

Drake Trades and Technical is excited to support a valuable client in their search for a motivated and results-driven Account Manager with a passion for sales. This dynamic and highly autonomous role is pivotal in managing and growing established accounts in Sydney Southeast territory while growing our client's footprint through prospecting and new business development activity.

YOUR ROLE

As a hands-on, highly self-motivated and proactive Account Manager, you'll thrive in this highly autonomous and dynamic role. You will have a history of B2B sales and must be able to demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, motivation and reliability as well as have the ability to self-manage. Your strong customer service values are essential and an eye for detail is paramount. You will need to be able to concurrently manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. This is an exciting and diverse role, focused on relationship management and the development of your client portfolio across Sydney's Southeast.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage customer accounts in line with business direction, delivering sales v budget, assigned projects on time to budget
  • Retain existing customer base. Explore opportunities to expand existing business. Drive contract renewals for accounts in the nominated territory.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge base of all accounts, particularly key stakeholders, emerging issues, structural changes (eg M & A activity) and business plans for the future, built on a strong foundation of multi-tiered relationships.
  • Engage with all State-based personnel to manage and achieve customer-preferred outcomes. Communicate customer business updates including monthly forecasts, QBR actions, KPI reporting and all other relevant aspects
  • Develop timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements and carefully manage your territory utilising Salesforce
  • Provide appropriate market intelligence to the Management team and assist in the setting of margins.
  • Develop & execute sales strategies.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a range of disciplines.
  • Actively comply and contribute to OHS&E policies and procedures.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant skills & experience gained through Internal / External Sales, Customer Service, or Account management
  • Experience in Packaging and/or Manufacturing would be highly regarded
  • Experience in B2B sales would be highly regarded
  • Exposure to customer relationship management systems (CRM) & well-versed in the use of Microsoft products.
  • Autonomous with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and solution-focused.
  • Clear, personable communicator with exceptional negotiation and relationship-building capability.
