The role:

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to provide person-centered support for an individual living independently in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. We are looking for applicants who have experience providing support for clients with tracheostomy care, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), seizure management and BiPap support. This is an ideal role for student nurses, or support workers with a good clinical understanding.

Duties:

• High Clinical Support (training will be provided)
• 24/7 Shift Opportunities
• Manual Handling
• Personal Care
• Medication Administration
• Community Engagement and Social Support
• Domestic Assistance
• Allied Health led therapy program

About you:

• Current Certificate III or equivalent required
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current Medication and Manual Handling Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR Certification
• Must have Full SA Driver's Licence and a reliable car

In addition:

• Must have sound understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support
• Must have experience working with individuals with complex care needs
• Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
• Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments
• Be available across 7 days a week
• Be able to committ to minimum 2-3 shifts a week
