About the role:

This role will see you primarily working in our labour ward assisting expecting mothers. You will be responsible for will assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient's individual needs.

As a Registered Midwife, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care to our mothers and families, in line with the core values and strategic direction.

Always act professionally when dealing with the health care team, patients, their families, and the wider community; you will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality care.

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience (minimum 2 years)
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Current accredited First aid and CPR
  • Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
  • Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Right to live and work within Australia
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • NDIS worker screener check

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
  • Recent experience working within a maternity ward (birth unit).
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to accept and promote the hospital group's core values.
  • Ability to work independently with mothers and their families during the temporary period and provide a first-class service as a maternity service.

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature.
