About the role

We have an exciting and rewarded support opportunity to share with you. Located in Cranbourne.

You will be apart of a 24/7 care team to support a client in their 20's, with complex disabilities and medical history, including a range of medical conditions. They present with a complex mental health history in the context of trauma and other issues.

They require assistance with undertaking and self-management of daily activities. They have chronic pain and require assistance in communicating their thoughts and expressing their immediate needs.

They report severe to extreme symptoms of anxiety, resulting in fear of being alone; experiencing of panic attacks, sleep disturbances and avoidant behaviour

Suppoert Workers are required to wear full PPE on all shifts at all times.



Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:


  • Personal care
  • Challenging Behaviour Management
  • Mental Health management
  • Community access
  • Domestic assistance
  • Full PPE required on shifts
  • Medication administration management



About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:


  • Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Personal care experience
  • Mental Health First Aid training is desirable
  • Previous challenging behaviour and mental health experience
  • Current First aid and CPR
  • NDIS Screening Card
  • Nationally Accredited Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
