Your Role
Our client in Oakleigh, requires Support Workers to assist them on an ongoing basis. Our client has limited mobility and a tracheostomy. We are looking for Support Workers who are flexible available to work across a 24/7 roster.
Our Support Workers will demonstrate teamwork and assist us in creating a safe and positive environment for our client and will work alongside a Registered Nurse. You will help us maintain strong clinical standards and will be required to support our client in achieving their short and long-term goals.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience with manual handling (hoist) and full assistance with Activities of Daily Living. The right candidate will be trained on how to support someone with a Tracheostomy.
Duties;
- Skin integrity management and pressure area care
- Provide true and authentic companionship to the client
- Encourage the client in achieving their set goals for the day
- Support the client with activities at home and out in the community
- Work with the Registered Nurse and assist with personal care and manual handling
You must have;
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR Certificate (within 12 months)
- First Aid Certificate (within 3 years)
- NDIS Worker Screener Check
- International Police check (if applicable)
- Certificate III in Disability or other relevant qualifications or experience is preferred
