Our client has been in operation in Australian market for the last 20 years and is one Australia's top 10 and fastest growing supermarket retailers in the country that pride themselves on being good, different.

They are looking for hard-working casuals to join their team of loader caretakers to assist with general cleaning duties and loading completed and packed pallets using ride on pallet movers from transport loading dock on and off the trucks, for allocation within the DC.

We are currently looking for loader caretaking shift for 7pm starts (6-7 hour shifts) to work a 5 day roster across Monday to Sunday - 5 days will be allocated and will be the same 5 days you work each week. Shifts for other days can be offered to cover other casual staff leave.

You must be comfortable in a chiller environment for this position - chiller environment is 2 degrees so you must be comfortable with a constant cold environment.

The Role:
As part of the Prestons Chiller team, you will be working with general housekeeping of dock and chiller areas, loading completed and packed pallets using ride on pallet movers and/or pallet jacks from transport loading dock on and off the trucks, ready for delivery to stores. Other tasks may include:

• Receiving and dispatching of goods
• Operating Ride-on Pallet Movers (training provided)
• Transport loading of trucks with completed pallets
• Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Picking maybe required
• Managing orders & controlling stock levels
• General Housekeeping of Dock area

Essential Criteria:

• Previous warehousing experience essential
• Previous experience operating ride-on pallet riders is highly regarded
• Attendance and Reliability is a must - you will need to be available for the 5 rostered days every week
• Physically fit and able to lift 20-25kg consistently
• Sound reading and numerical skills
• Strong communication skills are a must
• Able to work quickly and think on your feet
• Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Previous cold storage experience would be an advantage
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment - Chiller is 2 degrees
• Own transport reliable transport, particularly for early morning shift times - closest public transport access is a 20-minute walk from Hoxton Park Road or Miller T-Way Bus stops.
• Must have full time working rights within Australia to be considered for these positions
