About the role

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home care for our male client living in Quakers Hill NSW who has previously suffered a stroke.

We are looking for applicants who have experience providing support for high complex care clients.

• Must have an understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to individuals
• Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
• Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments

Duties:

• Continual clinical assessment of client
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
• Assisting alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
• Medication administration
• Manual handling
• Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community

About you:

• Australian Driver's License and reliable car
• NDIS Workers Screening Check *Mandatory*
• Current First Aid Certification *Mandatory*
• Current CPR Certification * Mandatory *
• Manual Handling Certification*Mandatory*
• Assist with Medication Certification
• English Fluency - verbal and written
• Certificate III in Individual Support of equivalent advantageous
