About the role

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Located in Melbourne, you will be part of a 24/7 care team to support a non-verbal gentleman in his early 40s with an acquired brain injury. You will provide full assistance with all ADL's as well as clinical support of the Ventilator, Tracheostomy & PEG. Due to the nature and complexity of the client's needs, you will need to have relevant disability experience. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• PEG feeding
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Rehabilitation exercises

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• PEG management (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Dual Covid-19 vaccinations
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• PEG competency certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
