About the role

We are specifically seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home care for our child-aged clients living in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.
We require candidates with professional experience in caring for children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD, along with skills in behaviour management. We are looking for passionate, friendly, and empathetic support workers to help support our young clients.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Support children in family-based placements with education, medical appointments, family contact, social and cultural connections, positive living skills, community inclusion and family relationships.
  • Assist with transportation to school, appointments, community access as well as in-home support.
  • Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
  • Provide a safe, home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
  • Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.
  • Supporting children aged from 10 years old


About you

To join our team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent required
  • Full South Australian Driver's Licence and reliable car
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Manual Handling Certification
  • Assist with Medication Certification

In addition:

  • Must have sound understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to children
  • Must have experience working with child-aged clients
  • Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
  • Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments
  • Be available across 7 days a week and be able to commit to 2-3 shifts per week
