About the role:

Drake Medox is seeking fun, enthusiastic and driven student nurses within the Lilydale area.

Our pediatric client, who is living at home with a Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury, requires support workers to join their team on a casual basis. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our client's life, as well as enhance your skills and knowledge with ongoing client specific training with various Allied Health Professionals.

Your positive attitude and passion for life will be the most important aspect of your role. Our client is ideally looking for support workers that will promote their recovery and who is fun, energetic and bubbly who can influence the energy of our client.

Duties:

  • Manual handling using hoists
  • Assistance with personal care
  • Meal preparation and assistance
  • Follow a behaviour support plan
  • Deliver true and authentic companionship to the client
  • Champion the client to achieve their set goals for the day
  • Assist and support the client in the home and out in the community

You must currently have;

  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Right to live and work within Australia
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Current Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screener Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Certificate III in Disability/ Aged Care or other relevant experience or qualifications

  • Exposure to clients with Acquired or Traumatic Spinal Cord Injuries
