Our client is a well-known leader in the cleaning and hygiene industry, providing the latest cleaning and hygiene solutions to protect and provide confidence to its customers across all global sectors.

They require an experienced Forklift Operator with both high reach and counterbalance experience to assist in the smooth operation of their Warehouse based in Smithfield in a supportive environment and a friendly team. They will support you in your development by providing training and ongoing support.

This position is Monday to Friday, 5am-1pm with some Saturday's available from time to time.

The Role
As a forklift driver, you will be loading and unloading containers using the forklift, ensuring load optimization and efficiency, liaising truck drivers when delivers arrive and other general storeperson duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executing Counterbalance and High Reach Operations, ensuring all goods match manifests
• Loading and unloading containers with operational efficiency
• Loading and Wrapping pallets
• Picking and packing orders when required
• Assisting couriers, helping to identify and load carton deliveries
• Adhering to safety management standards
• Other warehouse duties as required
• Arranging transport loads
• Consolidating orders and correctly applying labels to correct consignement

Essential Criteria

• Current forklift licence with high reach and counterbalance experience
• Able to work autonomously and unsupervised
• High attention to detail
• Pick packing experience ideal
• Experience working in a distribution centre or a warehouse environment
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Reliable and hardworking
• Physically fit - consistently lifting up to 20kg
• Available Monday to Friday for 5am starts
• Some Saturday work available
• Own reliable transport as there are early starts
• Good written and verbal communication skills as you will be working and communicating with with office staff, drivers and couriers
